Review on 🚿 DreamDrain Professional Stainless Steel Linear Drain: Easy Installation with Hair Catcher - Tile Floor Grate Shower Drain Kit (24 x 2.75 Inches) by Sara Gallegos

I am a professional bathroom remodel contractor and installed this drain for a client. The only problem with this drain is the plastic drain insert that fits into the top of the drain flange. When my client first used the shower, I received a call back saying the drain was closed and water was filling the bottom of the shower. Upon inspection, I found that the plastic drain insert, which appeared to be for collecting hair etc., was clogged on first use. In addition to very small drain holes, it is activated by a spring-loaded drain plug. That spring loaded drain plug doesn't seem to open properly or close the drain at all. I suspect the spring is just too strong to push the drain plug. The solution was to remove that drain plug that opens the drain completely. I see no reason to really stop this drain. The metal drain assembly itself looks fine, but one of the plastic gaskets that sits under the tile insert broke during installation. It has been repaired and everything works fine. I give 4 stars overall for the drain flange as it costs less than many others. Removing the drain plug does not affect the intended use.
