These shorts are great because they are made from good fabric that gives support for an active kid. They are thick enough to wear shorts with a top without looking through them. The material is soft and comfortable, the color is beautiful. We bought one in almost every color. I went down to a size 8 because I was hot and dry at the altitude. My daughter will be eight in a month and is 48 inches and 48 pounds, a size eight that is a little loose but has room to grow or adjust if she shrinks a little.
