This year I decided to buy walkie talkies for all the kids as they were one of my favorite toys as a kid. I bought two sets. They are small and fit in small hands. The sound is pretty good. Overall I am happy with the purchase for the price. A few questions. To open the battery compartment, you must remove the belt clip. It was not easy. I really needed help and we were so afraid to break it. The battery compartment is also very narrow. It was a bit of a hassle putting the batteries in there. Another problem is that there are a lot of extra buttons. If I knew anything about walkie-talkies, these buttons might be important to me. But it's pretty easy for a five-year-old to switch channels without intention and then think it's broken. Easy enough to fix, but just something to be aware of.
