Review on Sumnacon Sturdy Folding Shelf Brackets by David Hodgson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

VERY simple set of hinges

I'll save you a lot of time and tell you that they do NOT include screws, nor do they include wooden planks or shelves. I can give pre build points to this product at this price. I didn't have to collect anything; What you see in the photos is what you get right out of the box. The lack of packaging is understandable as I suspect the seller/manufacturer didn't want to deal with an avalanche of complaints that the shelf was too big/small, not the best material, or the screws they suggested were the wrong length, shape , material, etc., but now I'm telling you that this is probably one of the three or four parts you'll need to make a functional, foldable shelf. If you're a do-it-yourselfer you probably already have spares (or maybe go to the hardware store a few times a week), but if you're like me I hope I can save you some heartache in the future. way for your little side project. They also seem to lock at a 90-degree angle, but not at a flat, folded angle, if that matters. If I'm not missing anything, the wind is moving, a moving vehicle, or whatever is causing the loops to move until they lean back at the locked 90-degree angle - a little annoying. I just bought a pack of 1/2" Phillips head screws and a cheap wooden shelf that should be the size I'm looking for. I'll let you know if these loops will be used anytime soon, but for now I only have loops and nothing else. At a minimum, the seller can suggest products (maybe just screws) that will work with these hinges and provide very simple visual guidance on how to properly mount them to the wall surface.
