I don't normally use gold as most of our show gear is silver or has silver clasps and buckles. I recently bought a new gold clip hooklink so I needed a collar to match. This snake necklace is perfect for that. It looks well made and I was pleasantly surprised at how good it looked against my dog's red coat. I've paid almost three times as much for my other show chains so I was very happy with the look and price of this one. Only time will tell if this holds up and the gold doesn't wear out. In the meantime, I'm giving five stars!
