Well I love experimenting with hair gears - it looked too fun not to try. I have thick curly hair, 3a-ish. I've been naturally gray for about 2 years now so my hair texture has been changing for a while but I love it too :) These coils are easy - I got the large size because I wanted to try and curl my curls more voluminous, lengthen them a bit or just make larger curls out of them. I have to say I enjoyed using them - they are very simple, it's nice that I don't have clips and other "things" to use with them. I'd recommend a spray or something on your hair before applying - they're silicone - so they can 'grab' your hair a bit. I like them on dry hair, but they also worked quite well on wet hair - I've yet to experiment on which products work best with them, maybe less product is better. I have thicker curls, but I still have to "play" with them to find a smoother curl.
