I wish I could give it 4.5 stars. but 5 stars should be enough. These shoes are exactly what I was looking for - light and compact to fit in my carry-on but still have good cushioning. There's no real arch support, but they're more comfortable for walking. as Chuck Taylor's. While this is subjective and maybe not as "classic" as the style/brand Chucks, they look pretty good, and the material is almost lace-up. The sizes are a little short, but hardly. I wear 11E in most dress shoes and they barely make it (although they do feel a little tight at times) - I might want to try 11.5 next time. However, the slight difference in length is compounded by the unforgiving heel counter - it keeps the foot in place, but the upper/collar is quite stiff and uncomfortable after being on my feet for an hour or more. (EDIT: After 30 full days in the shoe, the heel collar finally started cracking a bit - it's still a little stiff, but doesn't bite my Achilles tendon as much as it used to.) Meaning it's ticking all the boxes, looks good and fits - think i'll grab a few more!
