I have used FloodStop products for many years and have been very happy with them. I have one on my new washing machine and dishwasher and it's designed to cover the fridge. Unfortunately, the installation turned out to be too difficult for me. One problem, of course, is that it's sticking out of the wall and forcing the fridge to park in the aisle, but at least my water source was again in a neat plastic box and the unit would have basically been sunken. However, some geniuses could not measure the thread with the thickness of the washer inside the connector. It was physically impossible to get the damn thing to attach itself to a single thread to connect it to a water pipe. I've tried every position, even removing the plastic bezel from the water pipe to get a few more inches to work with, but no. I couldn't screw the thing. Yes, I could probably find a thinner washer by driving back to town to the hardware store, but by then I was disgusted and decided it wasn't worth the trouble. I still have a dishwasher and washing machine and I'm happy with that, but I think these need to be reconsidered, redesigned and redone. It should lay flatter against the wall and be much easier to attach to the water valve.
