This lightweight, non-stick steamer is super convenient. This is definitely Nordic Ware. But it's immediately worth noting that this is their consumer quality and not their commercial quality. For us and our use, we are excited about this feature. We bought two of these as cheese and chocolate bowls to use with our Cuisinart Electric Fondue Pot. With them we can serve several dishes in our fondue pot without having to empty the pot! We also use these pots (the rim allows for different diameter pots) to melt chocolate or sugar when making candies or baked goods. The non-stick coating helped us a lot. I'm not expecting decades due to the weight and price, but if they last me 3-6 years I'll be thrilled. It's good for baking, but for fondue it's just amazing! We recommend the Nordic Ware steamer.
