To me it was yellow rather than gold. I wanted to use this to accent the wall but decided against it. Instead, I lined up the drawers and shelves. It is somewhat thin and slightly textured. The glue feels slimy rather than sticky, time will tell how well it holds, especially in the tropics. There weren't many cutting guides on the back of the paper. If there are wrinkles before application, they will appear no matter how hard you try to smooth them out. This can be an issue if you use it on a real wall. I would definitely buy a roll to test before sticking it on the wall. I didn't bother the creases too much because they would only be visible inside the drawer. Would buy again EDIT: Paper in one of the drawers torn with light use (i.e. pens, charging cables, put paper, put laptop down carefully)
