I didn't buy these pieces of iron to make knives but to make blanks for making bass guitar thumb rests. The wood itself is very fine and has obviously been burned or otherwise dried. The green is very beautiful, the wood is of good quality. Especially after the product is finished and you add some type of oil to the word, like Old English or Tung Oil. That's when the texture and beauty of the wood really stand out. I would recommend this to anyone looking for knife blanks or just a small piece of quality wood to make a specialty product.
