I bought this stool for use in the kitchen. My back starts to hurt pretty quickly when I work standing up. I use it most often at the counter (not at bar stool height) when chopping veggies, laying out groceries, and even loading and unloading the dishwasher (when unloading, I stack dishes on the counter and then get up to place them in the cabinets ). . The stool was very easy to put together and I'm not good at assembling furniture. It's not uncommon for me to cry out in frustration several times. But I assembled it in just a few minutes without a single squeak. This stool looks sturdy. Now and then the wheels scratch slightly, although I'm not close to the weight limit. But that's pretty small. I don't think this stool is suitable for desk work, especially for long periods of time. If you want to do this, I recommend checking the measurements carefully, taking into account your height and the fact that the stool has no backrest, especially if you have back problems. While it might work for some, trying it made my back burn. For the purpose I bought this chair for, it is excellent. When it wears out I'll probably buy another one.
