I used to mostly just use cheap 2 ferrules + magnifying glass of the 3rd/auxiliary hand tool. The ones that charge you at $5 because you need something and it's just a few clips, why spend the money right? You spend money on this product. The tool no longer turns around you because it weighs nothing, no need to loosen connections, adjust, tighten, flush, redo. It's built to last, it's the perfect weight so you know it's not going to walk anyway, and it looks and feels like a solid, well-built product. The adjustable magnetic arms are great too, move them to where you need them and they'll hold a few heavy items. I've used two to stabilize the peristaltic pump for solder joints, not the heaviest item but if it can hold that stability I'm not worried about the circuit boards, wires etc. The magnets can be too strong but that's good, they don't move anywhere when you work and glide with little effort. I just place them neatly now after the first one almost snaps their fingers between themselves and the board.
