I like the variety of settings for this. And most importantly, that you don't have to plug it into an outlet. We mainly use it as a night light in our room and it's dark enough that we don't worry about falling asleep. It is very soothing when they light up at night. Once it's on that long, it will turn itself off, which is a fantastic feature. It was simply packaged but in a little bubble wrap, nothing wrinkled, no complaints.
