I just bought this after my previous monitor's power supply failed and received it today. Facts The connectors on this model are standard power connectors, VGA and DVI-D (HDCP compatible). There's no HDMI input, which can be an issue if your source only outputs YCbCr color instead of RGB (which is limited to DVI), but I have no idea how common this is. There's no sound either, but if you don't need sound or are on a budget you should still get a good external speaker system as the internal speakers have terrible fidelity. Assembly was quick and easy, no tools required, which took about 5 minutes, and I didn't even have to refer to the included installation guide. In fact, now that I look closely, the manual isn't accurate, as the base and stand are separate pieces that need to be assembled in addition, or even better, before attaching the monitor to the stand. But the manual only says to attach the monitor to the "base" as the first step. It's amazingly bright and clear with a digital signal. I suspect the LED backlight helps with brightness, and the lack of mercury is definitely a good thing, both from a health and environmental standpoint. LEDs also have a longer lifespan than other lighting technologies and are highly resistant to frequent cycling on and off. Quick tests show that the recovery time when switching video modes is about 2.5 seconds. Not very good, but better than my previous monitor's 3 seconds. The control buttons were momentarily confusing as they have no markings. In fact, pressing any button except power brings up the main menu, and from there you press the appropriate button to select a section. All submenus use almost the same button configuration for navigation, which is always displayed on the screen just above the buttons themselves. The monitor also aggressively auto-detects input. Since I'm using DVI, it jumps straight there after a quick VGA check (that's what the OSD says). Even when I tell it to switch to my non-existent VGA signal, which I think may have been accidental, it quickly switches back to DVI and exactly 5 seconds later brings me back the image. In general I'm quite happy with it. It's pretty good for the price I got.
