I used large format tiles for the walls and bathroom. I've read about Lippage but have never worked with a large format tile. Based on research I settled on a tile leveling system and I'm glad I did. I immediately realized that without any system whatsoever, my tiles would be up and down and all around. Thanks to the system, the wall looks smooth and beautiful. I've also read about the difficulties when leftover plastic spacers are left in the tile. For the most part I was fine. I just hit them with a rubber mallet and they came right out. They are perforated right at the base and go out. There were fumes that came off when the plastic protruded past the grout line as I've read in other reviews. I just got a box opener with a new blade and cut the plastic very "NEEDED". It wasn't difficult, just took my time and no problems. Now I pasted the corner, after a few iterations I had a little fake page. Once the cement of the adjacent tile has hardened there is no room to attach the spacer as it must be passed under the tile. my fault As long as you don't repeat the steps, the tile should be perfectly smooth.
