Good idea for cat doors, railings and steps

I thought it would be great to keep our new dog out of the bathroom where my cats have food, water and litter boxes. The idea behind this harness is great, but it took less than 24 hours for the cat to push open the door and kick her out. Of course, if it were plucked by a cat, it wouldn't stand a chance against a dog. The tape did not live up to expectations.
