This is a specialty lens that creates a circular image on the sensor. When used in certain situations, the results can be amazing. Also, remember if your camera has megapixels that you can crop to get a "rectangular" close-up. In my honest opinion, every serious photographer should have ONE fisheye (round or slanted) in their bag. from all other lenses and with an extremely wide angle you can literally be inches away from the main subject and include it in the whole scene. Pros: Lightweight, easy to carry Cons: Front element prone to scratches (fragile), images are eloquent. circular view - so don't overuse it. Warning, your legs or body may be in the photo (extreme wide angle), they cannot be used in certain environmental conditions - fog or rain with no droplets visible in the photos.
