I bought these for restaurant work but I also dance. I wasn't sure what to do with the sizing based on the reviews and I have to say if I were ordering the adult size dance I would choose your normal size because you want them to be sure to fit. Since I bought these for work I wish I could go up a half size so I have a little more wiggle room. They generally fit, but I only have to wear thin socks with them. For those wondering, the inserts are also removable so you can swap them out if needed. Note: I agree with the reviews that they are slippery. They definitely don't hit the ground. I bought these believing I would need to add a non-slip grip to the bottom of them.
