I say: buy if necessary.

Pros: Good size (not super tiny and not huge), glass bottle (said to be inert to salt and spices), lid seems to be decent quality stainless steel (probably not as good as 18/8, but time will show if it starts to rust). Cons: It's glass which shatters if dropped (other stylish looking shakers use very hard and clear plastic that still looks like glass) and mine has stains making the shakers look empty unless they're particularly stylish. But 4 stars overall for excellent functionality and good looks.
