Works and looks good.
I first wore them on a surf bike tour in Maui. They were comfortable. And the size was close enough to my shoe size. They have smaller openings/openings all over. Sand does not penetrate as much as with open or high-heeled shoes. However, they also drain quickly and dry quickly.

- Swimming in rocky terrain. protect my feet
Cons
- I only wear them once to the beach and the shoes are broken
