I informed the manufacturers that although I see some improvements that could be made, for the price it works well for its purpose. We live on almost 2 acres and I was able to get it at level 83 on the transmitter to cover our property and some additional surrounding wood. I prefer to leave the collar loose and just let the dog hear and feel the vibration as I find shock level 1 too strong. The signal is partially affected by walls, hills, etc., but the bottom line is that it still works and creates a boundary that may not be fully spherical. It takes a lot of walking around and listening to the beep to figure out which setting works for your subject, but once you get the hang of it, it will do the trick! I think it works well as a training collar but there is room for improvement. But definitely worth the money compared to similar products that are scarce.
