In anticipation of my dog hiking in the snow for a few days (and sleeping in a snow cave), I bought several dog jackets to compare and decided to keep these for a number of reasons. Firstly, the outer shell material is thick and high quality. Second, the jacket is thicker and feels warmer than other jackets. Third, he was a very good match for our Border Collie. Fourth, it is very cute, especially the faux Fury hood. My dog wore it to camp at night and then slept in it and it really helped to keep him warm. The only thing I would change is the presence of plastic closures instead of button closures on the front. My dog is very energetic and has spent a lot of time walking in loose snow holsters. The buttons came loose too easily and the jacket fell off several times. I plan to sew my own zippers. But overall a great jacket for the price.
