I have to admit I was a little skeptical about this screen. I'm an AV fanatic and I've learned the hard way that you usually get what you pay for. Since it was only $200, I assumed the quality would be poor, the fan was too loud, the screen wasn't as big as advertised, etc. This screen is real. It looked great and was well built for its price. This is clearly not a commercial screen so I didn't expect it to last forever, but it far exceeded my expectations. I was a little concerned that a screen this size would require a brighter projector than ours. We had a 3300 lumen projector and it's bright enough to see well about 15 minutes before nightfall (not sunset but real darkness). When it got completely dark, the picture was great. The fan was quieter than expected, and since it's behind the screen, it's not as noticeable. You'll need some speakers with some punch, though, as you'll need to sit farther from a screen of this size. Our chairs were about 15 feet further back than we used to sit with our old 120 inch screen. You either need active speakers (e.g. a plug-in boombox or even better an old shelving system from the basement) or a powerful battery speaker. While we haven't used it for movie nights, we have a 150-watt Monster Rockin' scooter that would do the job, so I'd use something like that. I think you can buy this speaker now at Sam's Club for $120. The initial installation was a bit of a hassle just because it's a huge screen that needs to be Velcro attached to the inflated frame. We tried to do this before we blew up the screen, but it was too difficult to get everything right. We ended up blowing up the frame and then I used a 6 foot ladder to secure the screen with Velcro. It was very easy to take it off, we just blew it off, folded it up and put it in the tub. I wouldn't recommend putting it back in the bag it came in - it's like a one way ticket, not a round trip. After all, it is as big as advertised. We set it up in the driveway and tied it to a scale. You have to do this because it's like a giant sail catching the wind. In comparison, it was about as wide as our 2 car garage and about 5 or 6 feet taller than the top of the garage. I've attached a photo of my 12 year old son for comparison. In short, it's legit and worth buying. Strong recommendation from the AV botanist. it was delivered in - it's like a one way ticket, not a round trip. After all, it is as big as advertised.
