This is normal for what it is. I used to have an iOttie as my first car mount so I'm a bit spoiled for that. I couldn't use this mount anymore as phones are getting bigger these days. This car mount requires both hands to attach as it does not lock automatically. You insert your phone and squeeze the two holders together to secure it. To release, you can press the small button at the bottom left with one hand. The phone is suitable for a large number of phones. I use a Nexus 6 with a Unicorn Beetle case and it cleans it great. Also, it cleans the phone's side buttons with U-mounts (which I think is a great idea). On most phone holders, the side mount meets the buttons. The suction cup is fine, there are no traces of glue on it. I didn't use the pillow that came with it so I can't rely on it. This mount wobbles, but not by much. You can still read something, but it will bother other people. I've tried it on different roads to make sure it's not just on the road. Also if you install it on your door (like me) when you open and close the door it will rattle because the door "knocks" when closing. In the end I gave 3 stars because "everything is fine".
