Review on Ceiling Control Profile Farmhouse Dimmable by Wine Gray

I removed the OLD ceiling fan in my bedroom because it looked shabby and noisy with no light and I needed a ceiling light because my desk was here. I was very excited to get the opportunity to try this ceiling fan because it fits perfectly in my room and matches my color scheme and style perfectly. Out of the box, the wooden blades are stunningly beautiful, with a lovely texture, and everything is packed very well in dense blocks of foam. (Though I wish companies would switch to mycelium-based biodegradable packaging, but I'm glad the styrofoam was there to protect the fan so it didn't get damaged in transit.) I didn't realize how much I loved the air circulated in my room until my little desk fan stopped. Air movement is not only important for temperature regulation, but also for my alertness and clarity. I can't wait to install this fan, but I'm STILL trying to find a local electrician who is fully vaccinated and resuscitated - what's wrong with people? (I'm in Georgia.) We're both elderly and at high risk for Covid-19 complications and I'm afraid to install this fan myself. After watching a few videos I could probably do it, but I'd rather make sure it's done right. From what I've learned, ceiling fans with DC motors are considered the best; A DC motor is typically only found in higher end ceiling fans, which tend to cost more. A DC motor is by design 70% more efficient and also weighs much less than an AC motor fan. LED light is also more energy efficient than the candelabra-type bulbs on old ceiling fans like the one in our living room; We did not replace these bulbs when they burned out. I love the size and the matte light on this fan. From my research, DC motors are better for the following reasons: (1) Higher torque with more starting power that uses 70% less power than traditional ceiling fan motors (2) More speed settings and easier to start, stop and accelerate (3) All electrical components are on top the motor, so no switch cap is required and wiring is simpler (4) Lightweight overall (5) Virtually silent operation Now I understand why this ceiling fan can be designed as it is, with such a sleek and modern look : AC- Motor cables don't need an ugly switch cover or housing. I'll have to wait for the fan to be installed to update this fan noiselessness and light output rating from lowest to highest have no reason to doubt the sales site materials. I am very satisfied so far.
