Review on NIBCO 4704 CPVC Adapter Fitting by Michael Schafer
Fits CPVC pipe as advertised, not PVC pipe (1 star ratings)
However it fits 3/4" CPVC pipe perfectly as intended. These are two different pipe systems with two different dimensional standards, and most importantly, two different types of cement are required to join them, if you mix up the two you probably shouldn't be doing your own plumbing.
