These are OK pants, but they are huge. I wear a size 23/24 jean, 00/0 in street clothes, and ordered the 26 since a number of reviews suggested ordering up. My actual waist size is close to 26" (it's definitely not 23" or 24", thanks size inflation), but these pants were way too big all over. I'm 5'1", and they were also down to my ankles - so pants, not capris and not shorts, but I expected that. Anyway, if you are very small, these won't fit. The material is thin and not close to the same quality of a pair of lightweight Mountain Hardwear hiking pants I have, which is more like what I was hoping for. Then again, for the price, they're quite nice. I'm not sure how durable these would be in the field, although other reviews suggest they are. If you are serious about your outdoor activities, rather than being a casual hiker, I think I would stick to recognized outdoor brands although they cost more.
