Review on Brother MFCL2750DW Wireless Monochrome Laser Printer, All-in-One with Duplex Copy & Scan, Black - Amazon Dash Replenishment Ready by Brandon Selpasoria

After reading many reviews about this printer and a similar model on the OfficeDepot website I didn't want to buy this printer. My Canon Pixma printer failed after 3 years and I had had bad experiences with both Epson and HP. I knew Brother was a respected brand but I had never owned one of their printers. I'm happy to think I made the decision to write. If I have any issues with the printer over time I will update this review but so far I have nothing negative to say. Installation took about 40 minutes (including firmware update) and is relatively easy and straightforward. Brother even offers videos on their website, as well as downloadable software if you don't have a disc tray. The printer comes with a toner cartridge and a short phone cord for the fax machine. Many reviews complain that this printer is complex or awkward to use. I have yet to experience that. Printing is very quick and easy, as expected. Sending faxes was also easy, and you can save numbers in the internal address book for future convenience. Copying works without any problems, and contrary to what at least one reviewer claims, you can copy on both sides. Several people have complained about the volume. After starting I can tell you that the fax dial tone is loud. You can change this by going into the general settings and setting the volume to "Low" or "Off". Another nice thing about this printer is that the toner cartridge is on the front. This means people with disabilities or people who keep their printers in awkward locations don't have to worry about turning the printer over after installation. The only problem I'm having right now is scanning from the device. Scanning from a computer works fine, but I can't get the printer to scan to a computer using the device's native UI. This means you have to boot up the scanner and then come back to the computer to click scan each time. which I think should be avoided. I played around with the firewall settings but nothing helped. I'll speak to Brother Technical Support and see what I'm doing wrong. Since this could be a problem for me, I don't want to blame the machine itself just yet.
