This test is for the One Touch 5TB External Hard Drive. I originally bought this thinking it was an upgraded version of a Backup Plus drive that I thought was unavailable. Given the 7200rpm I also found it a nice upgrade to look for speed. Unfortunately, this drive does not work for my or anyone else's needs. Read speeds were better than the Backup Plus as I averaged around 250-270Mbps with the One Touch which was nice to see but write speeds averaged around 50-60Mbps. I couldn't get him to type faster, which was a little surprising. It just doesn't work for me, but maybe for others. I'm a big fan of Seagate drives in general, but I feel like there are better options right now where you spend a little more but read a lot better. and write speed with the same capacity. Overall, however, this drive seemed solid, and I'm sure read performance is pretty good when that's what you need it most.
