This item was the right size to replace the fresh water hose inlet valve on my trailer. However, it does not include a back pressure regulator to prevent water from flowing out of the fill valve when you don't have a hose connected and turn on the water pump to use the water from the fresh water tank. If you are purchasing this particular model to replace your RV's fresh water inlet, be sure to also purchase a back pressure regulator to attach to it. I found a brass regulator with 1/2" female inlet and 1/2" outlet with plug at Revain for $10. With no regulator installed, the moment you turn on the water pump to use the fresh water tank, fresh water will flow out of the water inlet. That's why I gave it 3 out of 5 stars. The product description led me to believe that the regulator was built into the wheeled water intake housing, when in reality this is not the case.
