Both of our sons hate the Halo Bassinest crib and I paid way too much money so they wouldn't like it. Unfortunately we didn't use it for my first but it's not an option for my second so thought I'd give it a try. I've thought long and hard about spending MORE money on this project, but I have a chance. I'm SO glad I did this! We really saw an improvement in his sleep! I can tell he likes the way she hugs him. He's still not sleeping well but he's 6 weeks old so I don't think the pad is to blame. But I have 4 instead of 5 because I want the bottom to be a little softer. He still finds himself on the rock-hard Halo mattress. But I definitely think the extra sleep we get is worth $50!
