180° thermostat keeps your hemi cool. The stock thermostat in my 2013 Ram 5.7 Hemi is 203° and on a hot day in traffic I often see 220° or more until the backup electric fan kicks in OR I turn on the AC which turns on the backup fan. at 180° the truck goes straight 185° and in traffic gives it much more time to reach that peak at over 220°. even with 180° from oil temperature to transponder temperature, it runs much cooler across the board. And NO, it will not install a check engine light as some people say, I assume you will get a check engine light if the car can't see at least 160°
