This compact Jazzm recorder is expensive and could be great, but suffers from poor workmanship. What I like about the voice recorder: - Metal construction: The body is made of metal and the microphone body is chrome plated with chrome grille. The device looks stylish and makes a solid impression. - Small size: The recorder is small and thin. It fits in almost every pocket and doesn't take up much space on the table. - Large storage capacity: It has 64GB of built-in storage. This is more than sufficient for most applications. - The AB feature is pretty cool as it allows you to select and play back a portion of a recording over and over again. Cons: - The metal cap covering the USB connector doesn't stay in place. It slips off as soon as you pick up the recorder (video attached). It doesn't close or latch, so you may have to leave it on or risk losing that cap. - The menu looks and feels like an old cheap MP3 player. Some menu items are capitalized, others are not, and some are abbreviated. I really wish the UI looked more like something from 2021 and not 2005. - It takes some time to start recording (the display shows "Please wait" for up to 5 seconds) - The headphones supplied with the recorder are not suitable. , worse than what they give on planes. You should definitely use your own pair. - The sound quality is not very good. This is fine for voice recordings, but when I recorded my guitar playing, the resulting sound quality wasn't as good as the sound I got from the voice recorder built into my smartphone. I played around with the file formats (WAV and MP3) and tweaked the bitrates, but it just couldn't match the phone's recording quality. ill-fitting metal cap so I wouldn't recommend it.
