Well, for a replacement cartridge that's quite suitable. I won't give it 5 stars as it has a shorter lifespan than the factory cartridge in my brothers machines; however, it yields about 75% OEM. However, I cannot discount this cartridge due to the price. They cost 1/4 to 1/5 the cost of an OEM device and offer more than 75 percent of the OEM page yield. The print is crisp and I haven't had any smudges or print issues yet. The only downside is that since it's not OEM, the device won't recognize the new cartridge and you'll have to perform a reset process. Follow these steps to resolve the issue that occurs with monochrome devices: 1. Open the front toner door.2. The printer screen should show "Front Cover Open"3. Press the "Clear" button on the front of the printer.4. The printer says "Replace drum?"5. Do not press 1 here, instead enter "*00" on the keyboard. Star zero zero.6. "Accepted" will appear on the screen. Close the door and the Toner Low message will clear. For HL Series devices, do the following: 1. Open the front door2. Turn off the printer3. Turn the printer4 back on while holding the GO button. When all four LEDs light up, release the GO button. All LEDs turn off 5. Press the GO button 2 times. The 3 LEDs (toner, drum, paper) light up 6. Press the GO button 5 times7. The paper indicator flashes8. At this point, the toner end of life condition has been reset. Close the front door.* Also, just as a reminder, time is of the essence here, so don't pause between key presses*
