I love the blade sets that come with it, but I use the larger ones to shred cheese for lasagne, burritos and omelettes. Best served with cheddar or cold mozzarella. Haven't tried it with Parmesan but I think it will be ok. I have arthritis in both hands and using a box or flat shredder hurts. This product is painless (cheers). The blades are harder to clean than I like. I prefer to hand wash them and the dishwasher might be a better idea because the cheesy film stays on the blades after use. This film prevents separation from the stainless steel between the cutting holes. Even the washcloth doesn't do its job well. I end up using simmering hot water to essentially melt the residue to get rid of it. The rest of the product is very easy to clean and disassembly/assembly is easy. A lot of people complain about the suction power and to be honest I don't think any of these choppers stick very well. I have a granite countertop and have had good success by making sure the countertop is perfectly clean - no residue - and applying a light coat of water to the suction cup. All in all I recommend this product.
