When you have a basic understanding of SQL you can start using this tool and see results almost immediately. As an analyst I'm looking for an easy to use but powerful reporting platform. This software does not disappoint! It's easy to get up and running in minutes. Reporting is seamless. You can't beat the price. If you're looking for a good all-in-one solution for BI/Reporting then Pentaho may be what you're after. We have been able to create custom dashboards to track KPIs in our organization. We also used the power of the software to prepare reports for board presentations.
