Feels amazing compared to my red wings. They are much lighter and the sole feels softer. I stand on concrete for a long time and my knees and feet hurt a lot so I try these sneaker style steel toe shoes based on another machine tech's suggestion. First thing I noticed is that they are very smooth and I'll see how they become after some wear on the tread. They fit well and are cooler than my boots. I've been wearing them for about a week now and they are comforting. For the price of Red Wings I can buy 4 pairs of these and if they last 6 months each one is better than my boots. I will continue to update them as time goes by or if there are any major issues with them. Week 2 and the memory foam is collapsing. I'm starting to feel tired in my legs again. They would be better off not inserting that memory foam and leaving more room to insert the insoles. That's still not enough to dissuade me from these shoes, but I'll look at the stakes from them. As for slipperiness, it takes about a day to wear out the novelty from the sole.
