The part worked well, fits and works in the Mazda Tribute. The locking ring is very difficult to remove, I recommend using long needle nose pliers with knurled ends, none of my pliers will touch it. Remove the steering column shroud, unplug all connectors and the single harness hangs out to the side. With the wheel in the 11:00 position, slide the bungee cord over the underside of the wheel, hook it to the sides of the brace, and then remove the two Torx T45 screws securing the column.
