The scanner is simple and easy to use. It handles 35mm slides, negatives and photographs. It takes standard size photos up to 5x7, but custom sizes require some adjustment. If they are too small for the mount, they can get stuck in the machine. I think a strip of clear plastic will work to hold the photo down so it doesn't get stuck. Otherwise, the scanner processes slides, negatives and prints quite well. I chose to use my photo editing software to tweak the finished product, but there are a few settings you can tweak while scanning. Overall it was a good product at a reasonable price.
