I've been using them to make candles for a number of years. Not sure what has changed, but the last batch I bought burns differently than I've bought in the past. Also wanted to point out that these lumps. I think it's because they're covered in wax, but when I blow out my candles, the flame won't die. I often have to blow very hard and it's scary because I'm afraid a piece of the wick will come loose and burn my face. For some reason they are used for better quality. Maybe I just received a bad batch but I expect it to be stable.
