Review on πŸ“Ά Enhance Your Wi-Fi Performance with 1.3ft Dual Band Omni Directional Antenna for Wireless Network Devices by Mike Hamelin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

They are alright. Disappointed, they are no better than my old 6dBi workstations

I had a set of TP-Link 6dBi antennas that I bought over 5 years ago. They worked well; but 10dBi is better than 6dBi so why not upgrade? I had extra money. The new and old antennas were made the same way. Both offer a signal quality of 86-83% and limit the speed to 144.4 Mbit/s to the base station. The maximum throughput of 802.11n is 150 Mbps, so I really can't fret about 144.4, which is 96.2% of the maximum throughput. Screenshots of "no antenna at all" and "new antenna". I didn't turn on the "old antenna" as the new one is identical. TL; DR - If your current antennas are working well, don't worry about upgrading. - If you have something <1-3 dBi, maybe upgrade to that. - Measure twice, cut once.
