I had a set of TP-Link 6dBi antennas that I bought over 5 years ago. They worked well; but 10dBi is better than 6dBi so why not upgrade? I had extra money. The new and old antennas were made the same way. Both offer a signal quality of 86-83% and limit the speed to 144.4 Mbit/s to the base station. The maximum throughput of 802.11n is 150 Mbps, so I really can't fret about 144.4, which is 96.2% of the maximum throughput. Screenshots of "no antenna at all" and "new antenna". I didn't turn on the

Exceeded my expectations

I didn't have much hope that this would work - I have a wi-fi camera that is quite a distance from the nearest hotspot and hence the wi-fi -Signal is removed -Fi was pretty weak. I got this antenna as a replacement for my camera but as the reception was poor I didn't expect much of a difference but I decided to give it a try anyway. To my pleasant surprise, after replacing the original antenna with this one, the camera had much better reception and now works 100% better - the connection no…

Worse than the original

Absolutely no signal from my 2.4 GHz security camera. Antenna inferior to native. The threads on the inside were powder coated to prevent proper signal connection. Even after removing the cover there is still no signal.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Not happy with everything

Reduced signal - not increased!

I placed them on an outdoor access point to improve access to the outbuilding. My signal is gone! And the speed dropped! The default antenna was 5dbi! I reinstall the original antenna.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Can't remember

Doesn't work for me.

They didn't help me in my situation. No noticeable difference, maybe even worse than the original from ASUS. All information was correct. In the end I sent them back.

Pros
  • One-year trial period

Increased signal, faster connection.

Great! communication faster! The signal strength has increased. What more can you ask for? I tried several others but these delivered! Buy, they work honestly! Make sure you check your connections to make sure they match!

Significantly increased Wi-Fi range

I was skeptical but for the price the signal boost was significant, Wi-Fi now extends 70ft through 4 walls to the other end of the house. I have ordered 2 more.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Almost OK

Networking Products Ultimate Solution

So it looks like someone poured molten lead into the walls of my apartment because a nice, plentiful Bacchic cornucopia of wireless waves is available in about 72.3% of the living space , and otherwise dead zone. The building dates from the 1920's so there is one place and one place only to plug in the router. My computer couldn't get a signal in my bedroom. I ran a 100ft ethernet cable through doors along the walls through the hallways and it worked until I closed the door and crushed the…
