I wanted to use them as part of our Christmas decorations - I had one in each window. They looked fantastic on day one until the timer function kicked in and some of them were always on and others were off at different times (although I set them all together before placing them on windows). Then, within two days, the batteries died and the lights flickered dimly (surprised my neighbors didn't think I was sending out emergency calls). I figured my first battery pack might just be cheap, so I gave good name brand batteries a try again. The same result - the candles died in just a few days.
