Bright blue light - small buttons

Based on other reviews I was hoping they would do something with the bright blue light that comes all the way down and toggles the entire switch on and off. Regardless, we've never been very sensitive to digital lighting from electronics, so I figured it would be fine. I was so wrong and it was a very expensive mistake as it was installed by an electrician. First, there's no reason to have a blue neon light that bright - it's at least twice as bright as the lighted light switches we have around our house and maybe three times as bright as the light from electronics. Second, the light doesn't signal any of the very small and awkwardly placed buttons that actually operate the device. Very small buttons at the top of the switch (about the size of an eraser) turn the light on and off. An even smaller button in the middle turns the fan off. We have this as the main light switch in the room and it's not possible to just walk into the room and turn on the light - you have to really look and be sure to hit the exact dead center button for it to work. . I don't know why you have to turn the whole switch off completely when you have an on/off switch for both the light and the fan, but it's just insane to have a stunning blue light coming out of there. We tried gluing it, but aside from being ugly, you could still block the light. The bottom line is that we should turn off the whole switch before going to bed, not just turn off the light. Worst purchase in a long time - especially outrageous as there is no reason for the lights!
