So-so quality, price doesn't match quality.

I bought the official version of the phone for the 2022, used it for five days, after which I returned it to the store with a lack of sound, discovered on the first day. All these five days I tried to defeat him, but alas: I set all the rights to applications, turned off energy saving, reset to factory settings, nothing helped. The store sent the phone for a quality check to the local official service center, they confirmed the defect, and a month after the purchase they returned the money to me.

Given such a long list of shortcomings, would I keep it for myself and recommend it to friends? Oddly enough, but if it were not for jambs with sound - yes. This is a very fast phone with a gorgeous display. Even with a buggy touchscreen in the corners, I would put up with it. But the sound was critical. It would seem a trifle, but incredibly annoying! Walks with music in your ears are covered, because once or twice per track there will be this breaking buzz joint in the sound. This is my third Xiaomi phone, and before that there were Redmi 4x and Redmi Note 5, and Chinese versions, and I have never seen such a tin.

Pros

Despite the fact that I had no luck with the phone, and I returned it back to the store, it has undeniable strengths: 1. Screen. Color quality, clarity, color saturation, black depth, viewing angles, it's all just fire! One of the best IPS displays I've ever seen. Compared with my Redmi Note 5, Note 8 Pro is much cooler. If you look at a comparison of this phone with other modern IPS phones, it stands out a lot. 2. Performance. He is very, very smart. A fast processor plus fast main storage and RAM make for a very pleasant experience. Everything opens very quickly and works smoothly. Compared to Note 5, the difference in speed is just heaven and earth. 3. In pearl white, it is very beautiful.

But there are also many shortcomings. Much more than I would like: 1. Problems with sound output to a wired headset, this was the reason for the return. When the display was turned off, the phone began to have micro-stutters and lags in the sound once every one or two minutes. Sometimes it sounded like a stutter, sometimes like clicks or pops, sometimes like a stutter. This happened when sound was output through headphones or an external speaker. I did not try via Bluetooth, because there was nothing on it. Jambs in the sound were in most streaming applications, such as . Radio or Spotify, as well as in a regular phone application. Perhaps these are the features of the sound on MTK, but compared to my previous Xiaomi ones, I liked it less. 2. Problems with the sensitivity of the touchscreen in the lower corners of the display. When typing, I had to constantly press the buttons at the edges several times. Unfortunately, I handed over the phone before I checked it with special software. 3. Significantly heated, even through the case. All five days that I used it, it was slightly warm. For the first day, when I installed tons of applications, it was still normal, then not so much. Sometimes it cooled down unpredictably, but you sit in Chrome for a bit, Contact or YouTube, and here it is again. 4. Unstable and selective fingerprint unlock. When it works, the phone unlocks very quickly and pleasantly. But it worked really less often than with my previous Note 5. 5. The main camera in the stock application gives a very oversharpened and oversaturated image with infernal watercolor when zooming in. I photographed the park during the day from the balcony, got an unnatural poisonous green picture. 6. It is slightly larger and heavier than I would be comfortable with. A very subjective thing, but that's why it's a subjective review. Redmi Note 5 was already on the verge, but if he was hiding in his pocket, then this one is already peeking out a little.
