Boba Large Glass Straws are great for smoothies. That's why I wanted her. They are easy to clean with running water and the straw cleaning brush provided. I'll probably buy ALINK regular size glass straws for drinks in jars and insulated beverage containers because the big boba straws are too big for those holes. I went on a liquid diet for a week after my oral surgery and have been using Boba glass straws daily with no problems. Can't speak to durability or strength because it's glass, but see for yourself - it doesn't break as easily as glass due to the plexiglass reinforcement. I'm careful not to drop mine. A simple carrying bag would be ideal. I wrap mine in a cotton napkin when I leave the house. Take yours to a restaurant and feel good knowing you're not using plastic or paper straws.
