I bought a couple of these gaming headsets mainly for kids as I don't want to risk damaging my more expensive headsets. The reason I bought this particular headset was because it comes with a detachable cable. Most (cheaper) headsets use thin cables, which are often short due to general use or being pulled or snagged during use. Since these headsets use cables that are part of the headset, it is not easy for the average consumer to replace the cable and the entire headset has to be thrown away. Since they come with a detachable cable I figured if the cable fails I'll just replace it. Unfortunately, it looks like something failed in the headset itself and I ended up having to throw the headset away anyway. We used them for years and while they worked I would say they were decent but nothing special. No issues with the mic and sound quality being what you would expect from a cheaper headset, the 'Pro' designation is a bit misleading as it doesn't differ from other budget headsets. I've had the best luck with Sades brand headsets, I have two that I bought over a year ago and they still work, they sound the same (and one of them is better) than this professional model.
