I've finally found a healthy toothpaste - free of fluoride and nasty chemicals, and it's DELICIOUS, has a great texture, cleans my teeth and freshens my breath! I try to avoid chemicals at every opportunity, and I found out a while ago that toothpaste is one of the sources of many harmful substances, so I first tried to make it myself using only natural organic ingredients, but it was gross ! I tried another recipe and it was better, but not good enough to really want to use. NOW I love brushing my teeth since I found these...see what I made there? ;PI has found other toothpastes that do not contain fluoride but contain other ingredients that are bad for you. Second place went to the one I tried just before, the Xyliwhite Refreshmint flavor. It was good just not as minty as I wanted so I ordered this Platinum Mint flavor before I ran out and it's perfect! Amendment 8-26-16: When I first read all the ingredients in this toothpaste, I didn't know that carrageenan causes problems in the digestive tract. It's approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and found in many foods, even organic foods, but now I know that although it's derived from seaweed, it's actually indigestible, and studies show that it may be harmful to you. My personal opinion is that it's more likely to cause problems when people eat a significant amount of foods that contain it. I only use a very small drop of toothpaste when brushing my teeth and then I still don't swallow the toothpaste. Since it doesn't get into my digestive system, I feel like it's still a perfectly safe toothpaste.
