I was looking for a detailed review of this product and luckily I found it on You Tube which helped me decide on this product. I will say that the lamp alone is worth the price of this kit. So if you're looking for a good place to start, this wasn't too much of an upgrade from UV to LED, this is an affordable option. I bought this kit. make presses for my daughter and as a licensed non-practicing nail artist I am aware of the amount of money I am spending on a product. My use may be different from yours, this is a great affordable alternative to branded products. Also, you can't beat everything you get for the price in this set. Well, as for paints, the thickness was inconsistent from color to color. It simply meant that some colors required multiple coats and others didn't. Also, because it's a gel that doesn't "set" until you set it, you'll have more time to work with it than regular polish, and you can fix anything that you haven't already set. Another thing to note is that you don't have to use their colors with their base and top coats. This gives you a wide range of colors to choose from. Base and top coat are really good. The mat is thicker than normal for the coating. So that's just something to know. As you can see in the video, matte is really matte. There's no visible shine, which is really nice, and that's exactly what you should get from a matte finish. Overall this is a great product for the price and I am very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend it.
